Robert P. Young is a graduate of Harvard's Visual and Environmental Studies Film Program, and attended California Institute of the Arts.

At Harvard, he directed, shot and edited 16 mm film and digital video projects, producing several short documentaries and narratives. The film Cooking to Live, Young's senior thesis, screened most recently at Port Huron, Michigan's 2010 Blue Water Film Festival. Young's political satire Reagan Returns was screened at Somerville, Massachusetts's 2011 The Reel Festival 3, and he was a co-star in director Wilbert Berthaud's Indie Spirit Award-winning feature film Underground-previously in limited theatrical release in New Bedford, Massachusetts, and now available on DVD.

He was honored by the United States Department of State for advising delegates of the Indonesian Film Industry, on how to be more competitive in the global market.

Young is currently active in Los Angeles as a producer, director, writer and actor.
